Agfa ePhoto CL50 Digital Camera
The Agfa ePhoto CL50 is one of the smallest, most lightweight digital cameras we've come across; its smooth metallic construction and shape makes it easy to hold. It was relatively intuitive to use, although we had to read through the manual a few times to understand all the features. We wished that the top four selection buttons were labeled, but once we used them a few times, we became accustomed to each button's location. The Agfa ePhoto CL50 digital camera offers a breathtaking 1600 x 1200 dpi maximum resolution (with low compression); you can also take pictures at 1280 x 960 (with both low and medium compression) and 640 x 480. The Agfa ePhoto CL50 uses removable SmartMedia memory cards; it includes an 8-MB card (which can hold approximately 96 640 x 480 images) and can handle up to a 16-MB card. While the Agfa ePhoto CL50 still uses traditional AA batteries (which tend to run out quickly), it does include handy power-saving features, such as the SunCatcher panel, which lets you use natural light to augment the LCD panel. The Agfa ePhoto CL50 has a great selection of preset and manual settings for exposure, aperture, and focus. We particularly liked its sound- recording feature, which lets you record up to 10 seconds of audio with each photo. You have to record the sound after you've taken the photo, however, and you have to play your images on a TV or download them to a computer to play back the audio. |
