Panasonic PV-SD4090 Superdisk Digital Camera

The Panasonic PV-SD4090 SuperDisk digital camera is a 1.3-megapixel camera with a special removable 120 MB SuperDisk diskette. The Panasonic PV-SD4090 lets you store up to 1,500 normal-quality shots on a single SuperDisk diskette. The 0.37-inch CCD allows you to capture sharp, crisp images at a resolution of 1,280 x 960 pixels. An extralarge 2.5-inch color LCD monitor with 112,000 pixels lets you see what the image will look like before and after you shoot it. This camera also features 3x optical and 2x digital zoom for detailed close-up shots. The four-mode built-in flash provides lighting for a variety of photographic situations.

The Panasonic PV-SD4090 uses either floppy disks or Imation's SuperDisk for picture storage. The SuperDisk's 120 MB storage capacity is equivalent to 15 times the memory that comes with most digital cameras equipped with CompactFlash or SmartMedia cards; the SuperDisk offers over 83 times the storage capacity of an ordinary floppy disk. USB port connectivity can even turn the Panasonic PV-SD4090 into an external memory storage device for a personal computer.

Special features of the Panasonic PV-SD4090 include the capability to record successive still images in 0.1-second intervals with a maximum audio time of 10 seconds in QuickTime 3 format, just like a movie camera. You also have the option to record audio messages with your still images for easy reference. Burst recording allows you to record a sequence of 16 consecutive still images in approximately 0.5-second intervals and play them back on your camera's LCD screen.

This camera comes with Adobe PhotoDeluxe Home Edition 3.0 and PhotoDeluxe 2.04 to personalize your photos with special effects on a home computer and save them for use in other applications.

This package also includes the 120 MB SuperDisk, a battery, an AC adapter/charger, a video cable, and a USB cable.
